I used to go to Sundance at least once a week, sometimes twice. As a movie buff, and someone who appreciates the convenience of reserved seating, loved it. I probably would have given it 5 stars two years ago- however, just like really any other movie theater in Madison, an independent/foreign film is now the exception to the rule at Sundance. Plus, it seems like totally mainstream movies (Marvel, Hunger Games, etc) stay at the theater for months on end, while more avant garde stuff can come and go within a week. (not to mention be relegated to weird times like only 1 PM and 4:15 PM- tough to make for someone who works days....) Bummer. The last indie movie I was really dying to see (Wolfpack) was only there for 5 days! I'm becoming a Sun Prairie Palace convert pretty quickly, which saddens me because I absolutely love the people, atmosphere, and real buttered popcorn at Sundance.
