This is my second bad experience and second bad review with this store. I went in today to upgrade to a new iPhone after having spoken to a representative on the 800 number. The representative explained to me the entire Verizon Edge program and indicated to me that there would be a monthly fee that would go towards the price of the phone that I would have to pay for two years and that there would be no upfront costs with the exception of the tax. I went into the store because I wanted to see the phones and decide if I want to 6 or the 6+ The associate in the store whose name I don't know (all I know is he had very beautiful light blue eyes) told me that I can either sign a two year contract and pay the upgrade price of the phone or if I did Verizon Edge I would have to pay $260 upfront and then pay $35/month for 24 months. I told him what the representative on the phone said and asked him why it was different. He said different areas in different regions of the country have different deals. He said this package - which would've cost me a total of $500 for the new phone - was the only one available with the Edge program. I left the store because it didn't sound right. I called back the 800 number where they reconfirmed for me that the original information I was given was correct then I proceeded to go to another store where the sales associate was lovely. He gave me all the right information and when all was said and done with tax on the Edge program I'm only paying $300 for the new phone in monthly installments. I felt that the sales associate in the Rainbow store was simply trying to get me to go with some higher priced package that I didn't indicate that I wanted and he intentionally withheld from me the fact that I could go with this cheaper option. The associate in the Charleston store in Boca Park was far more helpful and much more honest.
