Thank goodness the construction here is mostly finished. (Next time, don't shut down all the restaurants in the same gate area so we don't have to run around the airport to get dinner.) Unfortunately for me, I've been stuck in PHX many, many times. But fortunately if you're going to be stuck in an airport, PHX is about as good as it gets. Lots of place to eat, a few places to sleep, and plenty to keep yourself entertained. The layout is simple enough, which makes tight connections much easier because you cut down on time trying to figure out how to even get where you need to go. However getting there is another story - the terminals are pretty spread out and you do have to walk -- or use the moving walkway, if they're working -- to get there. So you may want to wear your running shoes if you're working with a tight connection. Also, let's be honest here: "Sky Harbor" is hands down the *best* name for an airport.
