Although I have never written a Yelp review before, I go to Yelp for everything and anything. I moved to Las Vegas in 2015 from Southern California and am still trying to figure out the best spots for everything and after having one of the best Las Vegas nails experiences, I decided Nail Republic was definitely worthy of me taking the time out of my day for this. Over the weekend I took off my acrylic nails after having them non-stop since F-O-R-E-V-E-R. As you can imagine, it was not a pretty sight. I maintain acrylics because my nails are naturally SUPER-DUPER paper thin so Hannah, my poor nail tech, didn't have much to work with.
I started with a "can you take me in 5 minutes" call as I suddenly decided it was time to take my lunch break and that I wanted my nails done as I was driving to their shop. They asked me to come in 15 minutes later but when I told them I would just come by some other time they called someone so that I could be taken care of. Upon entering the salon, I was seated immediately !
I let Hannah know that I needed a gel-pedi and asked for the pricing upfront (after reading a gazillion reviews from all the other shops in the area that are up-charging customers when it is time to pay). I showed her my hands and told her I had just got rid of the acrylics and wanted to give my nails some time to heal but wanted to do something to protect them. She advised to go with a gel manicure to create that protection barrier and they feel great...again, I asked for the pricing for this upfront.
Hannah brought me their beautiful array of gel colors and of course, I was undecided on the color. She picked a beautiful color - DND #601 Ballet Pink - and painted a toe so I could confirm if I wanted that color or not. She was excellent in communicating the entire time to make sure I was happy with how things were coming along. She also made sure to keep the conversations going beyond just the nails which makes a customer feel cared for and appreciated. I could tell she is looking to grow the regular customer base and keep them happy.
The salon was beautifully decorated, very clean, and all the other staff were also welcoming.
If you're in the area, I would definitely check this place out. I work across the street from Ikea and have tried several locations around here...none of them have been on point like Nail Republic (and Hannah).
