I've been living at Elysian West for about a month now and the experience has only been amazing. The amenities are really great! The dog park is so convenient, the gym is extremely professional and clean, the pool is insane, and our neighbors are delightful. I really enjoy how the community puts together events and is super inclusive. My leasing agent was Liz and she was a GEM! She is my spirit animal, she is so sweet and informative. She always hears our concerns and is super genuine.

The apartments themselves are great, updated quartz counter tops and cabinets, beautiful flooring, amazing professional gym, resort style pool, cute common areas with hammocks, fire pits and cute lighting, and a killer dog park! The staff are super friendly and always putting on cute little events for the community and fun parties. All the amenities are fabulous, it's the residents and community management I have an issue with.
CONS:
Maybe it's the area or who knows. People are loud and disrespectful of their surroundings and are CONSTANTLY breaking rules. I am NO grandma, but damn, please follow rules. That or Elysian West needs to enforce their own rules more.
1. People never put leashes on their dogs. My dog is not friendly, and your dog running over to us out of control because you dont have a leash on them WILL get bit. Poo Prints registration is a joke, elysian does nothing to those who leave dog poop around.
2. Cigarettes and weed are smoked everywhere. Even though this is a smoke free community. So when it says smoke free, it's a lie.
3. The security could be better. I have seen a fight break out at the pool and tried to call security but there was none available on site. Our bike was stolen from the balcony. People's packages go missing. If you call them, no complaint is actually filed to the main office.
4. NO PARKING. If you live in the one bedroom apartments you're fine. But 2+, GOOD LUCK. It's a free for all! No assigned parking, and TONS of cars. So you WILL be walking quite a bit to your apartment. Plus people park under the car ports who have no sticker and nothing happens because rules are a joke here.
Honestly, for the price, you would expect more. I would much rather live in a house for the price. If you're looking at Elysian properties, maybe look at the Henderson locations. Maybe the residents there aren't as disrespectful. Plus, Henderson is a nicer area in general.
