Yum! During my first experience at Good Egg I wasn't that impressed. Due to it's proximity to the bf's abode, I decided to give it another shot. I'm really glad I did! My first visit was on a Friday morning and the place was pretty dead. The food was just kind of meh - the bacon and eggs were lukewarm and the biscuit I got was hard. Plus service was lackluster. Huge disappointment. The second visit was on a very busy Saturday morning and this place was PACKED. The wait for seating was a good 20-30 minutes. Luckily it was COLD based on AZ standards so we were able to snag a table outside on the patio immediately. The patio had some heaters so we weren't affected by the "cold" at all. Our server was awesome, I wish I could remember his name! The food came out in a jiffy and everything was warm, fresh and cooked to perfection. The biscuit was brown on the outside and perfectly delightful on the inside!! It totally made my morning. Random question - can someone please tell me what kind of candies they keep at the checkout? I took quite a few with me last time but now I'm out because they're so yummy. I would love to purchase them and keep my own little stash if only I knew what they were.
