Want to pay WAY more for everything you buy? Then shop here. I own a pet boutique and came here while visiting my folks - I needed raw dog food and was stunned to find out they were charging $14 more for a 6 pound bag than is standard mark-up. That is an additional $2.30 per pound and my dog eats two pounds per day! Slight price differences per area are normal, but gouging people within a high-end? zip code is NOT okay in my book. I looked around and although they have a decent selection of food (not very many good brands of raw, but decent other brands), and good selection of beds, toys and treats, every single item was marked up enormously?. I just cannot support any store that puts their store next to Whole Foods and charges everyone more because? they know people will blindly pay it. I called around and found a store called Pet Planet about two blocks down who was selling the food I needed for $13 less. So, buyer beware...! I found the folks at Pet Planet knew more about their foods (we chatted for a while, since I am a nutrition freak), and some of the employees at Choice are totally clueless about the products they carry. The final straw - when I called them to ask if perhaps they were accidentally charging more for the food I buy (I had a hard time accepting that it was $14 more), their response was "yeah...we're expensive." LOL! Good to know! What an unprofessional response!
