The people here are truly amazing. I was leaving on an international trip for 4 weeks and was very anxious that I would have to leave my dog, Cheerio. Cheerio is fully blind and has kidney disease and requires lots of medication, patience and attention. The owners Allen and Vivian put me at ease from the moment I talked to them on the phone and even more so once I visited. They really care about all the dogs that are in their care and hire people that feel the same- love dogs and love their job. Everyone on the staff is incredible and pleasant. I followed them on Facebook and they posted photos and videos of Cheerio frequently so I could know that she was doing fine. They responded to emails very promptly. I visited about 7 dog boarding facilities before deciding on Tuscarora and besides the staff and owners that made me feel great about the place, it's also the facilities - they are clean, spacious and have lots of grass! They let the dogs out more frequently than the others I researched and overall just won every place out in every category. I would highly recommend Tuscarora to anyone looking to board their dog in a safe, comfortable, friendly place and even if it's a little further drive - it's worth it! I passed up many places that were only 10-15 min drive away for Tuscarora which is a 50min drive.
