*** This rating is solely based on the gun range*** The retail area was clean and well organized. The bathrooms and hallway to them was clean. That's all sort of stuff you expect, especially in Scottsdale. Staff - they were friendly. Once gentleman spent quite some time with us regarding ear protection and we bought a pair of those automatic ones that dampen the noise when the gun goes off (they're pretty cool). We only bought one pair, so that we could both try them before we committed to the 2nd pair. We ran some errands, went home and grabbed one of our guns and headed back to get some range time in. The gals behind the counter were polite. The gun range sound in the retail area was louder then I have heard in the passed, so I don't know why the noise in their gun range took me off guard, but it did. The range is concrete walls with no sound dampening. I don't recall noticing the ceiling, perhaps there is some on the ceiling, but the walls and dividers between the shooting stations didn't have any dampening. Within seconds I was miserable. Fortunately, my husband is a good sport and let me use the new ear protection. I don't know if it wasn't enough to help make me comfortable or if I didn't adjust the volume control properly, but even that didn't help. Yeah, I've got dog-hearing so noise bothers me. Yeah, I know that gun ranges will be noisy. But there is no reason they can't spend a little money and help to lessen the sound in there. Other facilities do.
