I met a colleague here for lunch. She had the grilled cheese sandwich and I had the salmon and couscous salad. I was impressed with my salad - generous portion, good flavors, something I'd never put in the effort to make for myself.
I'd never been to this restaurant before and I found the parking situation a bit confusing. All the spaces for Chestnut up front were taken so I had to park around the back in the parking area shared with the nearby office buildings. I was surprised that you ordered at the counter and seated yourself. Something about the website made me think that there would be table service.
The atmosphere was casual and comfortable - but a bit too noisy for my liking. I also liked that they had dog bowls near the front door, so I suspect dogs are welcome on their patio.
