I always liked Dr. Holst and thought she was great to my cats.
However, I wound up switching vets a few years ago because I unfortunately experienced too many clerical errors on behalf of the non-veterinarian staff at Paws to want to go back. Although that staff is probably gone now, I still remember what happened well.
1. I made an appointment for a vaccination and when I showed up, there was no vaccine to give. I asked the vet tech why nobody checked and she told me they did. Even though 5 minutes before, she looked into the fridge to get the vaccine and announced loudly that they had just run out and needed to order more.
2. Although it was probably re-activated by stress, one of my cats became ill with Giardia after he received treatment here. When I asked the vet tech why my other cat didn't get it, she told me its because my cats were not litter mates (even though they have shared a litter box their entire lives).
3. One of my cats went in for a teeth cleaning and came out with the fur on her hips shaved...? I didn't even notice until after the next day after she had groomed it down flat with her tongue and there was a little bald patch. I never said anything about it because after the other two issues I wasn't very interested in hearing what anyone had to say.
So I decided to find a new vet with a new staff. Sorry Dr. Holst.
