Review 1: 5 star, second visit This is not so much a review, but a how to guide on getting the most for your money. Step 1. Join mongo grill rewards and receive $5 off. Step 2. Go for lunch and get the unlimited bowls and soup/salad. Step 3. Get 2 bowls with tortillas as they come separate. Step 4. Eat the unlimited soup and salad for lunch. This means that you get 3 meals for about $3 a piece. The key is, they will only give you one to go box. Review 2: 4 star, first visit I really like the concept of creating your own bowl, it makes for a fun food experience and allows the ability to go multiple times and never eat the exact same dish. I have always liked this type of food for a new relationship type dinner as it allows you to see what your significant others food preferences are and it opens up good conversation about food likes and dislikes. Moving onto the review, this was my first time at this chain place. I have always gone to Ghengis grill chain and I prefer Ghengis because they allow you to pick a small medium or large bowl vs BDs which only gives you one option. BDs only gives you the option for rice or tortillas and pasta is considered a meat and must fit into your bowl. At Ghengis they allow you to choose from rice or pasta as your starch and doesn't count towards filling your bowl. That being said, the food was good. I did the create your own and my friend ordered off the menu. Ordering a dish off the menu deprives from the experience and just makes this place an average stir fry restaurant. I suggest the create your own. The atmosphere of the restaurant was to open concept. It had a fast food seating type environment that took away from the experience. I would prefer more sectioned off seating. I would rate it 3 stars due to the seating, and the lack of pasta as your starch adder, but I really like the concept, so 4 stars
