Vovomeena is our 'go to' spot when family is in town visiting (we brunch here as a family of 4 every month or so, but make the extra effort to bring visiting relatives here to show off the culinary delights Phoenix has to offer.)
A few key elements set Vovomeena as the bar for us: 1. quaint menu, quality ingredients, presentation {we've tried 75% of the breakfast menu- all excellent, but we keep coming back to the Pain Perdu & Mexican Eggs Benedict}; 2. friendly & familiar faces : the staff at Vovomeena stick around. It's nice to recognize faces behind the counter & in the kitchen. It doesn't have to be an "everybody knows your name" kind of place to feel just welcoming enough; 3. location & atmosphere. It's nestled in a perfect location just off I-10; to add, the outdoor seating is lovely & indoor decor & 'space' gives a great vibe even for family dining (we usually need 2 highchairs at our table).
