This is a long overdue review of the matcha chain. I used to go to the downtown location and more recently the one in North York. I would say the food quality is similar but the downtown one is more cozy as it has a small seating area at the end. Having tried many matcha ice cream and desserts in Japan, it's hard to be blown away by any chain that opens up in Toronto. That being said, I do really like the matcha sundae with shiratama (mochi balls) and anything Hojicha (roasted tea). Their soft serve is a good texture and has good flavour, though I do wish it had a little more intensity. They have a variety of little cakes for those who are not a fan of ice cream. Tsujiri is always a welcome dessert place for me!
