One of my favorite places to drink with friends because of their insanely cheap drink specials! Many nights, they'll have rail drinks for $2 as well as some other drink specials (Mondays, it's $4 margaritas and though they're not amazingly crafted, they're strong and do the job). The first time I came here, I had like 3 gin and tonics and was astounded when they handed me the bill and it was under $10. Their drinks are usually pretty strong as well. The patio area is a great place to hang out in the summer and just have some drinks and people watch. It is in kind of a rowdy part of Madison though, so you'll probably see a lot of drunk undergrads Thursday-Saturday nights but I've found that Vintage itself is never too crowded even on peak nights. I've never come just for food but they do have a solid selection of cheap drunk food. I'm pretty sure their mac n cheese bites and their cheese curds just come packaged frozen and get thrown in the fryer when you order them, but dang do they taste good after you've had a bit to drink! The servers are generally friendly and speedy as well. Hopefully, Vintage will continue to be a go-to drink spot for a long time to come.
