They have been my health insurance broker/agent for years and I pay about $20,000 a year for my wife and I. so Rough estimate in the last 10 years about $150,000 of premium paid( with rate increase considered). The service was always mediocre at best as every time I call which is far and few, the receptionist acted like I am some hacker and was more suspicious than helpful. For example, they have ONE woman who handle group health and since I don't call much, I always ask the name of the person as I don't remember her name and the receptionist acted like I was asking her for her pin number to her credit card. After the fifth degree I get this person whom for the most part acted clueless and always took forever to re-sign me for the next calender year. As luck would have it, this year, I never heard from her and I just called the insurance company for an unrelated matter and found out my plan was up for renewal and it was the last day I could! So I spoke to health plan of Nevada for a minute and renewed my plan after they explained the difference and saves over $900 a month! So not only did elevate sold me a more expensive plan than I need for years. They don't even have the decency to call and thanks me for almost $150000 of premium and let me know they no longer handle health insurance and be sure to call health plan of Nevada for renewal myself. so in summary, The second you stop paying them, you are a ghost to them after 10 years as a customer. Tell me , is that who you want as your broker/agent? For a simple comparison, my real estate agent who sold me my house years ago still send me card and gift every xmas and I will call her when I am ready to sell my home for sure. These guys? I wouldn't call them if they sell fire insurance and I see smoke coming out of my roof!
