As you probably know by now if you follow my reviews, I have quite a few food allergies. These eliminate my enjoyment of many of the most delicious and savory breakfasts foods out there. So, I was delighted to discover Eden, which offers numerous vegan and gluten free options!! And, they are actually tasty options. My carnivore fiancé who is not allergic to anything even loves eating here with me. And, it is BYOB, so who doesn't love that. I have been here for brunch a few times, and I always order their waffles. Served with cashew butter, maple syrup and your choice of toppings, they are simply delicious!!! They are crispy on the outside and just soft enough on the inside. It is a generous helping, so I usually share with my fiancé. The last time we were there he ordered the Indian Spiced Eggs, which included chickpeas, spinach, and goat cheese. Everything is made fresh to order. They have numerous tea options as well as French press or drip coffee. This is a great brunch location, and a good compromise for a variety of tastes. Check it out next time you are in Shady Side! We will be hitting it up for dinner soon!
