I went to Kaya on 2/27 around 9pm. All of the food was overcooked for each person's meal. I ordered the conch fritters (and soup) and my boyfriend order the ribs for appetizer and salmon entree. My conch fritters had such a crunch that the sauce provided was hardly sufficient for one fritter. My food was so overcooked that the person next to me (not in my party) who also ordered conch fritters couldn't help but tell me he was in the same boat! His food also was overcooked. When my boyfriend's ribs were overcooked, I really urged him to return them to the kitchen. However, he was reluctant out of fear that his food might be spat in. I really wanted to impress my boyfriend for his birthday, but sadly it just wasn't possible with the look of disappointment he just couldn't hide. I really had high hopes for this visit because I had a great one about a year ago. But sadly something has changed. Someone reached out to me to "remedy the situation" but never did. I can assure you this is a place of false promises. I wouldn't trust them for decent food or good service.
