We have lived here now for 7 months now, and regret moving in.
The plus side is: The apartments are a nice size and looked nice on the inside, new carpets, fresh paint. The whole area is fairly well maintained, although there is some dog mess about sometimes.
The rent is reasonable, and we have just gone to a gated community (if they ever start using the gates)
Now unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives:
When they painted, they painted everything, over the plug sockets, door hinges, kitchen cupboards, even some paint on the windows, So up close it looks messy.
Also the electrical sockets are so old, that plugs just fall out of them.
We have had problems with ants and beetles, both inside and out (they did come out to fumigate)
In the short time of being here there have been 3 separate occasions when we have not had water, and this lasted for more than a day each time, with no warning, and now we have just received a note through the door stating that it will be off again for 5 hours tomorrow.
As said we are going gated, but they have been complete for a month now, but still not in use, and this has raised the crime rate, my car was stolen from my space (not towed away, but stolen) and they have no cctv anywhere.
Twice I have come home to find a car parked in my private space, and the towing company refuse to do anything unless they hear from the main office, which was closed both times.
It can also get noisy here, kids running around screaming even late at night, sometimes gone midnight.
Overhaul we are moving out this year, once we have found somewhere else and have time to do so.
