Oh man where to begin. This was my first annual exam. I am 23 and yes I know it may seem long overdue but I've had horrible anxiety about my lady parts being checked. I googled annual exam stories and there were so many women saying that it hurt them and that amped up my anxiety level to 1 billion. I've been sexually active since I was a teenager so I should of started having my annual back then but like I said, anxiety level was through the roof. I researched the night before my appointment and freaked myself out a little bit. Appointment day comes, i get there early to fill out paperwork. The ladies there were pretty friendly. When I got to my exam room, I was having a mental break down. I was anxiously waiting my turn and it felt like I was sitting there for decades. When Dr. Bartholomew entered the room, I instantly felt relieved. He has this welcoming personality and he's very informative and tells you all the details of the procedure. When it was time for the exam, my heart started to beat so fast I could feel it in my throat but Dr. Bartholomew was quick and was telling me everything he was doing the moment he did it. Literally 2 minutes later, he goes you're done! I was completely shocked. It was the most comfortable doctors appointment ever. He is extremely informative and easy to talk to. Ladies if this is your first visit, trust me! Dr. Bartholomew makes it so easy and painless. Definitely recommend.
