I don't know what to make of AARCS. I grew up on an acreage with animals, my close grandmother was a famous and highly respected dog breeder and animal rescuer.
Last year, I thought it would be a great idea to volunteer for AARCS, lend a hand, get to know them and ease into the idea of one day adopting a dog from AARCS. I filled out and submitted a VERY detailed and personal volunteer application online. At the time, I had no problem disclosing such personal details as I have nothing to hide and yet I heard nothing back from them. NOTHING!
Their website does not disclose what their volunteer application process is but does state that such information is stored for 7 years. No application acknowledgement, no status, no feedback and no reply to my application. NOTHING. Not impressed.
