Came in to see Danielle for the second time today. My first cut was just a shape up and I was growing it out. This time I wanted to keep the front long and bring up the back (quite a bit). I said "I like the front like it is, but the back needs to come up!" Well I ended up losing most of the volume of my hair, both front and back. It is fine, blonde and curly. Sadly, I feel ugly with this short hair. When things like this happen I realize you must be VERY LOUD AND CLEAR about what you want. I thought my saying "I like the front like it is" meant leave it be! What I should have said was DONT CUT THE FRONT of my hair, leave it disconnected from the back. I used to have sexy tendrils, now just short hair, nothing cute or special. Sadly this will take a year or more to grow back! Very costly error on my part and one I won't be making again. . For those of you attached to the length of your hair, BE very clear if you want to keep the length. Hard day today . . .
