If you love your family member and want competent care and want them to live.... Please do not go to this ED (ER). I went there two days ago because I was urinating large amounts of blood. We called ahead and used their "wait at home" feature. We arrive and were taken back quickly.... but that's where the brakes went on. We waited 3 hours. They told me I have a UTI and gave me antibiotics. Two days later I am still passing blood and now blood clots. I called my doctors on call service. The doctor was shocked that they didn't get a ultra sound of my bladder or kidneys. I am a chronic pain patient and take pain medicine (prescription and otc). My wife pointed out that those meds might be masking the pain and fever that most men get when they are passing kidney stones. They really didn't want to hear her opinion and made it quite clear in their usual snide and uncaring manner. So here I sit, peeing blood and praying that my doctor can see me tomorrow. PLEASE do yourself a favor and go pretty much anywhere else than this horrible place.
