My wife and I went on a Saturday night. We had some of the slowest and least attentive service I've experienced in years. Our server was unsmiling and gave the impression that we were an unwelcome intrusion on her evening. It took more than 30 minutes to get a drink, and, ordering as soon as the drink arrived, another 20 to get an appetizer. I had the pork belly with grits. The preparation was nice, but the grits were cold. At that point I was reluctant to send anything back lest I starve. Our entrees took another 30 minutes. It seemed that at that moment plates were flying out of the kitchen and all tables were being served at once. Perhaps they had a problem, but we were never informed. The gnocchi and short rib entrees we had were good, the the gnocchi was strangely crisped and the side for the short rib, a sweet potato mash, was oddly stringy. I don't doubt that the kitchen can produce the very good food it is known for, but I'd be reluctant to try again.
