My friend had originally planned to come here with her friend but her friend got sick so I took her spot. My friend is a Design & Wine veteran so she had answered my 20 questions and she gave me a brief summary and some tips so I knew what to expect coming into this class. I felt immediately welcomed by the cute, brunette instructor. Our class was full with 52 painters. There were only four men out of the 52 painters.
We put on our silly aprons which had big boobs and a sexy figure silhouette so we got a few laughs from that. We placed our food & drink orders. The server was outgoing and friendly too.
Throughout the class, clear instructions were given. I kept on running out of paint but there are people who bring you more paint. You can follow the instructor to a tee or if you're a Picasso wannabe, you can add your own creative touches.
The class takes three hours with a break for dinner. I feel bad for saying this but the food (grilled cheese tomato panini and the chips) weren't very good. However, I did like the salsa. I wasn't expecting good food from a painting class so whatever.
After three hours, my masterpiece was completed. No surprise here. It just confirmed that I paint like a 3rd grader. Out of curiosity, I walked around to see other people's paintings. There were some professional paintings, a lot of decent ones, and a few more horrific than mine.
Overall, it's a fun way to get in touch with your inner Van Gogh with your girlfriend(s). If you're a desperate, single male, this might be a good place to pick up women (har har). They have couples nights here and private parties. Everyone is so freaking nice and friendly here too! I'll be sure to come back with some painting noobs!
