Contrary to popular belief The Abbey is a tough course, just play it from the Golds or Blacks and you'll have your hands full.
In particular:
Hole #2 - Rated the toughest hole on the course and while your on the tee you'll be wondering why. Truth is that you will probably make bogey or worse as the hole demands a long accurate tee shot followed by an approach of approx 160 to 130 yards into a very well protected green.
Hole #3 and #7 - both par threes that depending on the pin placement, wind and speed of the greens can turn into a disaster might quick.
Hole #11 - Gorgeous view, 100ft drop into the valley and a very, very tough Par 4. Even if you hit the drive of your life, you'll be wondering if your next shot will be another donation to the creek just yards away from the green.
Hole #14 - Hope you dont slice or 16 mile creek swallows another ball. Hook.. too much and you'll find aqua on the other side of the fairway.. just a touch and you may be in the bunker looking at a huge tree between you and the green. Green can be very fast back to front.
Enjoy your round at one of Canada's most memorable courses with a great finishing hole that will tempt you to go for it in two. The pond on the right probably swallows enough golf balls each season to fill a garbage truck.
Pricing..well what can I say..$250 is a lot for any course but if you haven't played the Abby then I guess you gotta at least once.
