Gyu-Kaku is a pretty big Japanese barbecue chain, but I had actually never tried it before. Decided to check it out for dinner one night after a show. We went pretty late, only a little over an hour before closing, which happened to be happy hour prices. Service was fairly attentive, and it was pretty empty this late at night. The interior is sleek and comfortable. The food is of decent quality, and the combo we ordered came with enough food to feel full. Prices were not horrendous. Overall, a decent place, and a nice alternative to other types of Asian barbecue restaurants.
