The fried chicken is simply incredible, possibly outdone only by the smothered pork chops which were among the most delicious thing I've ever eaten! The chicken fried steak was also good but nowhere near the rest. Sides are fresh and just about everything is a good choice but the sweet potatoes were addictively awesome.
Servers were very attentive and friendly. I did get a weird feeling when paying after getting absolutely no response to signing the credit card slip and leaving a 20% tip. The gentleman who seemed initially full of smiles very obviously examined the tip line then set down the slip and gave us no further acknowledgement as we turned away and left. It just felt weird and was an unfortunate closing experience.
