This restaurant looks like its been around forever. In fact its byline is: "Chop Suey Tavern Famous for Chinese Food since 1955" That is a long time. It is well frequented at lunch when we were there. The decor is very dated, and the place a bit dirty and in desperate need of a makeover. The food is 'old school' Chinese food, that is what passed for Chinese food in the old days. They have slightly updated the menu but the restaurant is still in a time-warp. I had what they called a "Yaka Mein with Chicken" Soup. I had never seen that spelling, but its not about the grammar but about the taste. I was hot, large and OK. Not much else need be said for the place but if you are in the mood for the old favorites this could be the place for you...Not fine dining, but food.....
