"Holy crap" -- the first two words to come out of my mouth when I entered this shrine to candy.
This is a giant warehouse of every candy imaginable. No guidance, just fend for yourself and get lost on the aisles of aisles (and aisles) of candy. I promise you won't ever question their claim to fame: "The Biggest Candy Store in the U.S."
Let's break this down for a second...
The great things include:
- It's a huge frickin' candy store
- They have literally every candy, ever (even the things that other yelpers said they didn't have, I saw there.) I mean, did you know they made pearlized gummy bears? I didn't.
- You can buy in bulk, which is very convenient
- Did I already mention it's a huge warehouse of candy? Oh... OK.
The not-so-great things:
- Price: I think for some reason I connect "discount" to the word "warehouse" so I was assuming things would be cheaper here--not the case! In fact, I thought some of the candies were actually pretty pricey!
- Guidance: You can ask for help if you know what you're looking for. But if you don't, there is literally no way to decipher what candy is in what aisle. I was just looking for "spooky" candy and I had no way of knowing where anything was. That's OK if you have time to spare, but if you're in a hurry, no so much.
So, with those things in mind, that's why I'm at 4 stars. It truly is the best candy store (and obviously the biggest) in Cleveland and I'll definitely be back.
