We come here quite regularly and love it but, but today my husband felt like a kid finding out that Santa isn't real and not only that, but a smelly guy in bad suit who had a few too many drinks. We are giant fans of the Bear, but today there was so much bacon and bbq sauce that it ruined the experience. Usually that wierd but wonderful mixture of peanut butter, gouda, bbq, bacon, cracker jacks, and spicy dog leave your taste buds awed, inspired, and feeling confused, however today they were crushed by the weight of the salty bacon. No finesse to the flavor combos, just a mass of bacon which when scraped off 2 bites in amounted to more than the hot dog and peanut butter combined! So we will come back but not sure if my husband will dare his beloved Bear again, at least not without saying light on the bacon. He also misses the crumbling of the cracker jacks from years past. My crispy dogs were delicious though, as well as the fried pickles. The jalapeno poppers were tough though.
