i thought we'd eat more french canadian food, too! but our cravings for asian food quickly set in after a few days. :P we were out late, needed a place open late (11p) on a weeknight. thai & pho it was!! we ordered their chicken pad thai, yellow curry, steamed veggies, and a tofu dish... the total .. 33$. YOWAZ. the reason is ... canadian sales tax is ridiculous ... there's actually two taxes on goods so your total can easily grow. anyway. aside from the ouch factor, the food was REALLY good. the chicken was oh so tender, the steamed veggies crisp and fresh, the tofu so soothing and the curry so warming. while not issan style, it's a really good american style of the thing. great, fresh ingredients ...that's what we ended up with and the taste delivered. we got this as take out. brought it back to our b&b and enjoyed a relaxing dinner overlooking the city while it was raining outside. super perfect!! :)
