The owner has her scantily dressed teen aged daughter to run the place. The little chick replaced a battery on my watch and failed to tighten the screws properly. A few weeks later I had it turned over and noticed a loose screw. I wash my hands a lot at work and water had been getting inside. My husband took out his eyeglass kit and opened the back up. He inspected the screw and threads and there was no stripping but a ton of rust lie underneath! He cleaned the rust out, replaced the batter and it still didn't work.
I've had 5 watch batteries changed since the brand new store purchase 5 years ago; Until Casablanca there were no reports of problems during each replacement. When I returned it to this place and explained that the screw was loose, she denied any responsibility. She explained that the water could have come through the stem and that I should leave it there to have the watch maker look at it. I didn't get a call until a week later and she said that there is no rust inside the time pieces but I should have it cleaned and it will cost $120.00!!! I don't have a high end watch, it was $550 new, but I like the saphire crystal, diamond pave and mother of pearl face, enough to keep it running 5 more years so I'll be looking for a more reasonable jeweler or replace the battery elsewhere!
