There is a certain betrayal you feel when you have given up on working out and then find the perfect place to achieve the heart rate you need to stay healthy. That's what I like about Power. I gave up, found a good place to sweat and meditate, and now I feel like a total acewhole if I don't go work out:/ I went to this class at the recommendation of a workplace proximity associate in whose opinion I have decided I trust. I have tested a few classes and I am happy with the results I have achieved. I sweat a lot to begin with (apparently it's a guy thing). But there is more to hot yoga. It pushes boundaries. If you are new to yoga, be good to your body and ask for a version of the postures that works for your body. Drink lots of electrolytes. Live well. Make sure you go to Yin Nidra by Emily McCrady! She subs once in awhile! And 45 min power flow is literally the best class before Yin! I also enjoy Jami Hills Power Hour and 26/2 by Patrizia. So amazeballz! All of the teachers have that certain something that makes you dreaming of your next visit to Power. And say hi when you see me!
