Reasons for low review: 1. Unfriendly check in staff. Not particularly warm or welcoming. 2. Room smelled of stale smoke, even though was a smoke free room. Even smelled as if someone tried to smoke in shower using the vent. Just stale odor, tried using air circulation fan to clear the air, but smoke smell permeated everywhere. 3. Shower is huge but no place for shampoo or bath soap, so had to put bottles of shampoo on floor and even had to open shower door to put soap on counter during shower. Really bad. 4. Stingy with the towels in bathroom. 5. Returned to room to find that it had not been cleaned. No bath towels, no new coffee mugs for coffee, no coffee for coffee maker etc. Never have I returned to any hotel, much less a golf resort to find the room uncleaned. 6. Called front desk to inform them that room was not cleaned. They were not apologetic just asked what I wanted. I asked for new towels for showering the next day. Really bad!! I found all the things that are important to me in having a good hotel experience were all lacking.
