A cold evening in Cleveland between Christmas and New Years we wanted a romantic getaway. We found a nice hotel downtown. The process of getting the correct room was annoying dealing with the Hilton corporate level customer service options, being in the CRM space it's clear they need some leadership in Customer Experience. The hotel itself was great to work with and resolved my issue. Front desk, valet, bartenders were all friendly, and helpful. A new property showed in all areas from room, lobby and bar. We chose a Chairman Suite having a large soaking tub, expansive suite and high floor views. Our room was modern and well furnished, perfect for either a romantic getaway or as a corp entertaining suite. We walked to Urban Farmer for dinner after a couple of cocktails from the 2nd floor bar (much better space than the 32nd floor bar). That is one downside to this property, the in-hotel restaurant didn't seem all that appealing and not much else walkable in this part of the city for cool evenings. This place has a downtown Chicago feel more than Cleveland, it should do well while new and feeding off the convention center. It's an Uber trip for Cavs, Indians, Playhouse district, E 4th and almost anything else in Cleveland. I hope they add some Cleveland spirit, that Hilton Corp improves customer experience and that restaurants Sping up nearby otherwise would visit again but may just save some coins for the Drury Inn.
