So while the hotel is in a great spot, the staff really need to be trained to treat customers better i.e. leave their gutter behaviour behind when they come to work.
I stayed there just last night and brought along 2 family members who were visiting me from the US.
As i had something to do all day in Toronto i thought they could go sightseeing or shopping.
The room was clean but charging for wifi really sucks........who does that anymore?!
Anyway i had to leave early and told the others to leave their stuff at left luggage and i had planned to meet them there later.
Unfortunately the US cell phones decided to not accept any of my calls and so i had no contact with them for a while.
As i didn't know if they were there yet,i asked someone at the valet desk if i could leave my car to go in and look for them, which he allowed me to do.
They weren't there and i asked could i leave my car for a few mins to check surrounding stores for them.
That was fine and he showed me where to park out of the way. I later heard they weren't even busy at the time.
I went off looking and was so angry myself about having no contact with them that i ended up buying a treat for myself in Hudsons Bay. As soon as the little mexican/latino/demon of a little man saw me with the bag,he started yelling at me and telling me what a liar i was and that there was no luggage in the hold!!!
Guess who's the real liar!!! He clearly is a frustrated person suffering from small man syndrome and needed to have a power trip without knowing what was even going on!!
Please Marriott................teach your staff to be respectful to people on your premises because they never know who is an actual guest!!!
So glad i did not pay for valet services as tempting as it was!!!!
Will NEVER stay there again after that treatment and i do frequently have to visit Toronto on weekends.
