I popped into Star to check out their hats for my Victorian themed Day of the Dead costume. Being October they were packed to the brim with packaged costumes, mostly in the mid to high end range. Need a gold metallic Zentai suit or Spider (Wo)man number? Look no further, this is your place. I found the exact style of hat I wanted and stopped by the cosmetics counter to see what they had. They carry a ridiculously large selection of professional cosmetics and special effects products from Ben Nye, Kryolan and Mehron for prices similar to what I found on ebay. They had accessories galore, tons of tights/stockings from cheap Leg Avenue type stuff to those indestructible Danskin fishnets. The best part is that they are open year round for your last-minute costume needs. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. I'm sure I'll be back before next Halloween.
