Shameful lack of compassion and expected care. I own a boarding stables and Dr. Carter has no problem coming out to care for six horses. My issue came when a horse ran into a fence while on turnout and was very sore from her crash. I phoned Amanda to add Kitty to the schedule for that afternoon, Dr. Carter was all ready coming to the ranch. Amanda contacted me that the other horse had canceled and my time needed to change; making the time two hours earlier. I told her that I could not be there earlier. She then text me that Dr. Carter could not see Kitty that day and that possibly he could come in the morning. I called her immediately to tell her that Kitty was in bad shape and pain. I sent Amanda a video of the mares crash and she told me that she would try to get the doctor there in the morning. She didn't call back and in the morning their phones were on voicemail. I found another doctor to provide the needed care for Kitty. Fast forward three weeks and Amanda text wanting to schedule my ranch in for their follow up visits. I was in shock at her contact after leaving me without concern just weeks earlier. I replied to her that I was not happy with the compassion and care shown to my horse in need by Dr. Carter. Amanda replied to me; "one horse is not financially worth the drive to Kyle Canyon". I was disappointed and disgusted. How dare they come to my ranch to care for my horses when there are many to see and then deny, ignore, a horse in desperate need of care because "it's not financially worth it" That's a quote. Shame on Dr. Carter for putting money before the care of the horses he has taken an oath to care for. A doctor who puts money first will not be caring for my animals. And I also suggest you find a receptionist with better people skills and class.
