I brought my Volvo into Tanner based on the Yelp reviews, and I wish I never had. I brought it in for a specific issue, and instead of fixing the actual issue, they fixed two things that had nothing to do with why I brought the car in to begin with. The "email summary complete with photos" that another reviewer spoke of, is just smoke and mirrors and should be taken with a grain of salt. I was really disappointed as a new woman to Phoenix that this was my experience here. I tried to work with the owner directly after the work that was done did nothing to fix why I brought my car there to begin with and after a month of being blown off by Chris Tanner, I filed a report with BBB and suddenly Mr Tanner called the next day. Instead of listening to me, as a customer, he went around and around, blaming me for not having repairs done. When I said that I had brought it to a different Volvo repair shop and the car had been diagnosed correctly and the repair in total was going to be less the $300.00 he argued with me that there was no way I was getting an original part, even though I was looking at the part at the shop. I was really disappointed because while I like to give people the chance to make things right, this was not the case with Tanner Motors. I just wanted them to make things right and they refused to do that as well. They didn't respond to the BBB's inquiry as well, and that to me, is just the sign of bad business practice. I would avoid this place at all costs, because it will cost you an arm and a leg for repairs that don't actually need to be done.
