Love hiking this mountain. I don't have to drive to the place. All I have to do is walk a bit, and there I am, on either trail 1A or 100. It's peaceful. I take the dog and we hit the road. There's more interesting things to see if one goes off trail, but who does that?? Hmmmm. ...
The sunrises and sunsets are just spectacular. The quietness gives one the opportunity to ponder life and all it has to offer. I mean really. "I can see Russia from my house." Okay. Sorry. I couldn't resist.
People are always telling me to watch out for rattlesnakes and coyotes. I must admit, knock on wood, I haven't seen either yet on the trail. Around my house, yes. On the trail, no.
I don't follow either trail from its beginning nor end. I just walk where I want for as long as the dog and I want.
