I too am forced into song... Working at the Pie Shack (oh oh, yeah yeah) At the ,Pie Shack, yeah (ooh, yeah yeah) At the Pie Shack (sing it with me now) Working at the Pie Shack , yeah The owner of this pie place was working and working and working for his $5.00 a slice. Flitting around like a humming bird he fed us tea, coffee and copious amounts of pie. Like one of the family, he cited names and favorite pies for several of the other swapping yelpers. He exuded calm in the face of 25 chatting ladies who, let's face it, completely took over the tiny shop. He wasn't perturbed or frazzled in the slightest. He had recommendations for each palate and some of his own personal favorites. The only reason I removed a star from this vetted establishment is because no one does pie like my grandmother and it would feel like cheating to say otherwise. As a note to all butter tart lovers, the pecan pie is not a large butter tart, just a pie with many many pecans. Bottom Line...Come here for the coffee, the board games, the great service, or the pie. Just get ready to be a little closer to someone in this very far away city.
