Signs we should have never stayed ---
#1 ... internet wasn't working when we arrived to check in. Having a printed confirmation meant nothing to them - they told us to 'wait until it comes back up' - which was about 20 min for us.
#2 ... located right next to Gun & Ammo range
#3 ... room key was actually that - a key that went into a deadbolt lock
#4 ... non-smoking room reeked of smoke - cigarette burn marks on the edge of the bathtub as well as the toilet tank lid confirmed the stale stench.
#5 ... bed had a plastic liner over the mattress - guess that was there to keep the bed bugs from vacating the mattress
#6 ... having to use the room phone to directly call the hotel to reach the front desk
#7 ... having the water run in the shower for 30 min to finally get luke warm water to shower in
#8 ... slowest internet connection in the world - I believe AOL dial-up is 100 x's faster
#9 ... comforter on the bed appeared to be from the 60's - might have been the last time it was washed as well
and folks - the kicker of all ....
#10 ... COCKROACHES IN THE BED!!
After 5 smacks with a tennis shoe to kill the first seen cockroach, we bagged it - tagged it and went straight to the front desk. We were told that 'we're not a dirty hotel, it's just that time of year' ... WHATEVER!!
The RoachMotel cost was $139/night ... we stayed in a real SUITE a million and one times better still located off the strip for $149 ...
Took us less than 2 min to pack our bags and get out of there!!
I would recommend sleeping on the corner with the homeless before suggesting this place to ANYONE!!
