I was really happy to see this studio next door to the karate studio my children attend. I was excited to hit two birds with one stone by attending classes when my kids were in theirs. It's the perfect location for me, as well as other parents, and with my schedule i can't ever fit pilates or yoga into my routine. I badly need to join a studio, as I have severe chronic back pain and degenerative disk disease, but the timing never works out.
Unfortunately, I was going through yelp reviews and saw negative comments from the owner of this studio about the karate studio. It's a shame that there are childish antics going on that can actually hurt a person's business. The karate studio is quiet compared to the bigger chain studios. The classes are small, with less than 10 children or adults per class, versus Victory Martial Arts that have a minimum of 15 kids per class. THAT place gets so loud you have to step outside to have a conversation with someone, but at Hiro Karate you have to step out so you don't distract the students because often times you can hear a pin drop.
Do the kids get loud? Sure. It's not consistent though, and it's just as important for kids to get their studio and training time as it is for adults. One cannot complain that kids are not active anymore, don't play outside or participate in sports, yet complain when they dare make noise while being active.
I do not appreciate an adult trying to sabotage a business by leaving negative reviews. None of the reviews of this business are negative or complain about the noise, so why do it to them? I will not patronize a business that sinks low enough to complain about the noise of kids participating in positive activities.
