My wife and I had bowled here before for date night and had a pleasant experience and I would have overlooked the recent bad experience if I had not been given a total line of BS followed by the absolute apathy of the staff on the evening of Saturday July 8th.
My sister was coming in from out of town and wanted to have a casual get together. We suggested bowling and specifically Let It Roll from our last time. I specifically called ahead on Wednesday July 5th to make sure that there would be no league action on the 8th. Was told only open bowling that night. Found out on the 8th a league began at 6pm. Hence the total BS. I did not find out about this until I actually arrived on the night of the 8th. Staff was "so sorry, too bad, you are interrupting our conversation, bye bye". Then off to check on their cell phones. Hence the absolute apathy.
You have lost my business for both being lied to and having a totally incompetent staff that made me fell like I was an idiot for being upset at being lied to.
For those with a similar experience may I recommend the AMF at 19th Ave/Bethany Home as an alternative. That is what we ended up doing and having an awesome time..
