They no longer provide a sample contact when the prescription power changes. After leaving I stewed over that a bit and went back in a half hour later. They finally capitulated to give me a sample making it seem like a pain in their ass only to find they didn't have my sample contact in stock. I've been in contacts for over 25 yrs I'm really only concerned with the new power. They wouldn't provide a comparable lens with out a new script from the doc. I've never run across this before. Not even from this location and this my third exam here. Good news is I have a year to find a new optometrist.
