After receiving a postcard and an insert in one of those "Valpak" envelopes, I decided to check them out. The pieces CLEARLY advertise a $5 to join promo for May, with as little as $9.95 month. Neither is correct -- and there is no legal or disclaimer info. The $5 applies only to a one-year, prepaid membership at $19.95 a month. They say they do "cancellation at any time," and sadly this too is not truthful, as they require 15 days' notice, charge you through those 15 days, and keep the last month's fee. Please note that the enrollment fee is $69, plus a $39 (hidden) annual fee -- making in a total of $110 to join (higher that LifeTime and LA Fitness) The sales person agreed that this is all erroneous, and in fact he said they are really having a hard time with all the angry phone calls. That said, there is nothing that is a deal about this club at all, pricewise. Location is great as there are not a lot of clubs close by. However, a new EOS facility is going in at Pecos and Higley, which could give this place a run for its money. Not sure when that center will be done. As to amenities, I was there today on a Sunday. They have probably 15 treadmills plus 10 ellipticals. Three "working" stairmasters. The gym was not crowded and it is not icy cold to make your workout difficult. Music is not blasting. Maybe 12 people in and out during the 90 minutes I was there. The garbages were all overflowing, and the locker room floor was scary dirty. I decided not to try out hot tub based on hygenic concern. They do not provide workout towels or bottled water. No employee was ever on the floor for the 90 minutes I was there.
