I had an experience similar to Rachel's when I was verbally accosted by a man working at this cemetery. I missed the entrance to Lakeview and thought they might be connected. I realized they weren't and began to leave. I drive VERY slowly (around 5 mph) in cemeteries because I like to exercise in Lakeview and it's my pet peeve when people drive fast there. This man began berating me and accusing me of speeding (even though I was driving slowly enough for him to walk comfortably up to and next to my car) through his cemetery. It was absolutely bizarre and the things he said to me didn't even make sense. I think he comes after people like this often because he was yelling this seemingly canned speech at me that didn't apply to me in any way. The way he spoke to me (even in response to my politeness) was so demeaning and paternalistic. I honestly feel that he was angry and needed someone to pick on. As a timid female alone in a car, I was an easy target to help him boost his self-esteem.
