The Vegas Weekend Part III of "Losing Money, Spending Money and General Hubby Eating Freebies Back At Home Tour" continues with The Piano Bar at Harrah's. My sister originally wanted to go to the dueling piano bar at New York, New York, it's apparently the best. Well the price is also the best and nobody really wanted to pay $25 pp plus drinks. So my sister suggested we try this spot for our drinking, singing along, and general getting a bit rowdy. Away we go ... Score: Friday night no cover charge at all! Found tables and chairs pretty quickly. Our cocktail waitress was fairly efficient and friendly. A few fun sing alongs. The people watching was fun! Story to tell: Requisite drunk girl, up and dancing, well she danced her way back into a seated gentlemen who seemed surprised by the close-call lap dance he was given (his wife was thrilled) and she ended up falling on her behind, but right on top of him! Smoking! I was able to smoke while I drank and was entertained, that's what got the third star. Bummer: The drinks are pricey and small and worse yet, watered down. Price was approx $12 for 1 drink and aside from "where is the alcohol?", the taste mix was not up to par either. Neither of the sets of dueling pianists were great and the blonde female twins were plastic and worse yet couldn't sing. Say something nice or you will have bad luck, especially if you've said something not so nice. The blonde female twins at least tried hard to get the crowd going and into the spirit of singing along and they did have good energy. After about 1 hour most of our group left, leaving just Jess and I to carry on. We stayed for a bit more and then decided we too had had enough of the not so talented dueling pianists and the not so strong drinks. So if you are looking for a cheaper Vegas option for a bit of fun during the evening, give The Piano Bar a shot. Perhaps if you take actual shots of alcohol you'll have even more fun that I did.
