I had them inspect some windows for basic maintenance (hard to open , plastic inserts missing) nothing major like a broken window. I was given a quote (~$400) for the repairs. Then the manager told me I need to put down a $200 deposit before the did the work . Thats 50% deposit. Also, he wouldn't take a check. Don't know about you, but I don't like being treated like as if I was unreliable to pay my bill. I've never had a company ask for a deposit prior to doing repair work. Especially for work less than $400. Also, I started to wonder why they wanted a deposit. Maybe their work isn't so good? Trust is a two way street. Needless to say I cancelled the order. I shopped around and found a much more competitive quote without a cash advance required to do the work.
